Replacement parts and accessories for shade structures
Shade Parts holds the components that keep an existing shade structure working and the pieces that extend one: replacement canopies, extension kits, ballast bases, back shade panels and support poles. Most of what fails on a shade structure is fabric, not frame — which means a replacement part usually restores it rather than a whole new unit.
Should I replace the canopy or the whole shade structure?
Replace the canopy if the frame is straight and the footers are sound, and replace the whole structure if the frame is bent or corroded at a joint. Canopies wear from UV, wind and water on a much shorter cycle than an aluminum frame does, so fabric replacement is the normal maintenance path. A new canopy on a compromised frame is a wind risk, not a repair.
What is a ballast base?
A ballast base is a weighted footer that holds a shade structure down without drilling into concrete. It sits on the surface and is loaded with pavers to reach its required hold-down weight, which makes it the option for finished patios, rented properties and any site where the shade may need to move. Pavers are generally not included, since they are heavy to ship and inexpensive to buy locally.
Do extension kits work with any shade structure?
No — extension kits are matched to a specific shade system and only attach to that manufacturer's structure. An extension kit adds length to a canopy run you already own and does not stand up on its own. Check the maximum total run for your system before ordering more than one.
How do I know which replacement part fits?
Match the part to the manufacturer and model of your existing structure, not to its dimensions alone. Canopy sizes repeat across brands but attachment systems do not, and a canopy that measures correctly may still have no way to fasten to your frame. If you are unsure, check the manufacturer and model on the original documentation before ordering.
