Base. A weighted stand under a #304 stainless steel cover. Stainless is used on the visible face because the stand sits on the ground in the wet, which is the hardest place on a terrace to keep a finish.
Finish. Powder coated, which is baked on rather than sprayed and holds up at the edges where a stand gets kicked and dragged.

Stainless and powder coat. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Rinse off salt and grit rather than letting them sit.
Off season. The stand can stay outside all year. Lift it off a wood deck occasionally so water is not trapped underneath.

Any Oxford Garden market umbrella with a pole of 1.625 inches or less, which is the 6 foot octagonal and square umbrellas, the 6.5 foot square and the 9 foot wood octagonal. It will not take the 6 by 10 foot rectangular umbrella, whose pole is 1.875 inches.
Should I go up to the 70 lb. stand?
If the umbrella is a nine foot canopy standing on its own in an open yard, yes. If it goes through a dining table on a sheltered terrace, the table is doing part of the work and 41 pounds is the easier stand to live with.
Does it come assembled?
No. It ships flat in a 20 by 20 by 4 inch carton and is assembled on site, which is also why a 71 or 41 pound stand can be delivered on a pallet rather than wrestled through a gate in one piece.
What is the stainless steel cover for?
