How warranty claims work

Every manufacturer runs its own process, so the exact steps depend on your brand. These are the parts that stay the same.

Who handles my warranty claim?

Warranty claims are honored by the manufacturer, not by the retailer. That is standard across pool, spa, grill, and outdoor heating equipment, and it is why coverage follows the product rather than where you bought it.

You do not have to handle it alone. If you bought the product from us and you are not sure where to start, contact us and we will point you at the right department or walk the claim through with you.

What do I need before filing a claim?
  • Model and serial number. Look for the data plate on the equipment itself. It is not printed on the carton, and it is not the part number on your invoice.
  • Proof of purchase. Your Aqua Terra Backyard order number works.
  • Installation date and installer details. Many warranties require professional installation to stay valid.
  • Photos. The fault itself, the data plate, and a wider shot of the installation.
Do I need to register my product?

Some manufacturers require registration within 30 to 60 days of purchase for full coverage, and some extend the warranty period if you register. Others do not ask for it at all.

Check your brand's terms in the directory above. If registration is required, do it early, because it is difficult to backdate once something has failed.

What usually voids a warranty?

The common exclusions are improper installation, running equipment outside its rated conditions, damage from unbalanced water chemistry, freeze damage, and repairs carried out with non-approved parts.

Exact terms vary by manufacturer, so read the document for your specific brand before assuming a failure is or is not covered.
