What you will find here

Manufacturers publish several different documents for the same piece of equipment. These are the ones that matter most.

Owner's manuals

Operation, settings, maintenance schedules, and error code tables.

Installation guides

Clearances, plumbing, electrical, venting, and startup procedures.

Parts diagrams

Exploded views with part numbers so you order the right replacement.

Spec sheets

Dimensions, flow rates, BTU ratings, and certifications.

Where do I find my model number?

Look for the data plate, a metal or foil label attached to the equipment itself. On pumps and heaters it is usually on the side or back of the housing. On grills and fire features it is often under the hood or inside the cabinet door.

Two things it is not: the number printed on the carton, and the part number on your invoice. Those often differ from the model number the manufacturer uses to organize its documentation.

Why does one manual cover several products?

Manufacturers usually publish one manual per model series rather than per individual product. A single installation guide might cover every size in a heater line, with the differences called out in a table inside.

If you land on a document that covers a range of models, check the specification table for your exact model number to get the correct figures.

What if my equipment is discontinued?

Legacy documentation is often still available even when a product is no longer sold, though manufacturers sometimes move it to an archive section or remove it during a site redesign.

Send us the model number. We keep copies of documentation for older equipment and can usually find something even when the manufacturer site no longer lists it.
