Questions people ask us
Can I change the sail height after the poles are in the ground?
Yes. That is what the slider does. The point the sail attaches to moves up and down the pole, so the height is a setting you can revisit rather than a decision you make once with a shovel in your hand.
Day to day it means three things. You can raise one corner and drop another until the sail sits high in the centre and low at the corners, which is how rain runs off instead of pooling. You can work around a slope, a tree or a roofline without getting the height perfect on the first try. And if you move the sail or change the shape you are covering, you reset the heights instead of digging.
Standard or Pro: which one fits my sail?
Two differences. The Standard pole is steel; this one is aluminum, which is lighter. The Standard has set fixing points, so the sail height is decided when you install it. The Pro has the full slider, so you can move the height afterwards.
Both poles give you the same two angles: 90 standing vertical, 75 leaning back 25°. So pick on height. If your sail is going up at a height you are happy to fix in place, Standard fits. If you want to tune it later, Pro fits.
How many poles do I need for my sail?
One per corner that is not already attached to something. A triangle tied into a wall needs two. A square in open ground needs four. Poles are sold individually, so add them to your cart one per corner.
Send us a rough sketch with any walls or posts you can tie into and we will give you the count.
Why is Silver only available in the leaning angle?
Because Tara does not make that combination. Silver comes in the leaning 75 only. It is not a stock issue on our end.
If you need vertical, Anthracite and Brown both come that way. If you want Silver standing upright, ask us and we will put the question to Tara.
Can I mix Pro and Standard poles in one layout?
Yes, and people do. The usual pattern is Pro on the corner you want to adjust and Standard on the rest.
Send us the layout before you order a mixed set and we will check the heights work together for your sail.

A note on color. Finishes are shown as accurately as we can render them, but every screen is calibrated differently and metal reads another way again in daylight. If the exact finish matters, ask us before you order.
