Tara Shade DeLux Cantilever Shade, 8' x 10', Aluminum Frame, with Canopy
80 square feet of shade with nothing standing in the middle of it. The Shade DeLux carries its canopy from a post set outside the area it covers, so your table, your loungers and the walk between them stay clear.
Same idea as a patio umbrella, with the pole moved out of the way.

Questions people ask us
Do I have to drill into my patio?
No. You can bolt the post straight into an existing concrete slab, or set it on ballast bases and skip the drill entirely. Two bases per shade, four pavers in each to reach 200 lb. Pavers are not included because they are heavy to ship and cheap to buy near you.
If your patio is finished and you want it left whole, ballast is the answer. Send us photos of the surface and we will tell you which way to go.
Can I add more shade later?
Yes, and plenty of people do. Each 10′ extension kit adds another bay to the run, up to 30′ total. Start with one unit this season and add to it next year.
Ordering the extension with the shade saves you the second freight charge, so if you already know you want the length, buy it now.
Can I mount solar panels or a projector screen on it?
Yes. The frame is rated to carry solar panels and a projection screen, so the same structure that shades your seating at noon can hold panels up top and a screen underneath at night. Because the post sits off to one side, nothing stands between the screen and the people watching it.
Tell us what you plan to hang when you order and we will confirm the details with Tara before anything ships.
What happens when the fabric wears out?
You replace the canopy, not the structure. The aluminum frame outlasts several canopies, and the fabric unclips, so a worn or storm-damaged one is a swap rather than a rebuild.
Replacement canopies come in all 17 colors, so you can also change the color over the same frame whenever you redo the space.
Can I take the canopy down for winter?
Yes, and we recommend it. The quick-release bungees mean no tools. Take it down ahead of a serious storm and at the end of the season, and you will get years more out of it.

A note on color. These are shown as accurately as we can render them, but every screen is calibrated differently and woven shade fabric reads another way again under real sunlight. If the exact shade matters, ask us for a physical swatch before you order.
