The Tara Shade DeLux 10′ extension kit adds another 10′ of cantilever shade to an existing Shade DeLux, and includes all the poles needed to do it. It exists because the Shade DeLux is modular: one unit covers 80 square feet, and the system builds out to a 30′ total run in 10′ steps. A note on fabric. Tara offers this line in seventeen colors, and eight of them (Silver, Pearl Onyx, Latte, Hazelnut, Bottle Green, Dove Blue, True Blue and Navy) carry a separate fabric designation. Two standalone units make more sense when the areas you want covered are not next to each other, or when you want to angle them differently. Fair Trade-Off to Know Before Buying

An extension kit is useless on its own. It attaches to a Shade DeLux cantilever you already own, and there is no configuration in which it stands up by itself. It also commits you to the same canopy line rather than letting you point shade in two directions. If you have not bought the base unit yet, order the cantilever first and confirm the layout before adding length.
