Modern Flames OTK surround kits are optional trim surrounds that let an Orion Traditional 26, 30 or 36 electric fireplace cover the edges of an existing fireplace opening. Each size comes in a small and a large surround, from 4 to 8 inches of trim, with a bottom riser included. Part numbers OTK-OR26-SM, OTK-OR26-LG, OTK-OR30-SM, OTK-OR30-LG, OTK-OR36-SM and OTK-OR36-LG.

Questions people ask us

Small or large: which do I need?

Measure the existing opening and the face around it. On the Orion 36, for example, the small kit covers 40-1/2 in. wide and the large kit 44-1/2 in. wide.

Why is the height a range?

Each kit includes a bottom riser, so one surround can cover a range of heights. The trim kit options sheet linked below shows the drawing for each size.

How does it attach?

Remove the 8 perimeter screws from the back of the fireplace and lay it on its back. Join the two side pieces to the top piece, add the bottom, then fasten the assembly to the fireplace with the 8 screws you removed. A P2 Phillips screwdriver is all the guide calls for.

Does it fit the Orion V2 Traditional?

The surround instructions were written for the Orion Traditional OR26, OR30 and OR36. Send us your model number and we will confirm fit on a V2 unit before you order.
