Questions people ask us
How big are the pieces?
The rock ranges from 5/8 inch to 1 1/2 inches, in a 10 lb bag.
Can I use it in an Athena drop-in pan?
Athena's drop-in pan manual calls for lava rock 1 to 2 inches in diameter. If you are filling one of those pans, the 1 to 2 inch Lava Pebbles (NL-3050) match that size range.
How should I lay the rock?
Place it naturally and do not pack it tightly, so gas can flow through for a full flame. Keep it free of dust so the pan's weep holes stay clear.
Will it suit my fire pit?
Send us your burner or fire pit model and we will confirm the right size and amount of lava before you order.
