Valcourt Forced Air Kit for Waterloo, Dallaire II and St-Louis | VA4460
The Valcourt VA4460 forced air kit moves heat from a Waterloo, Dallaire II or St-Louis wood fireplace to another room through 6 inch insulated duct. A 120 V blower, mounted at least 10 ft from the fireplace, moves the warm air up to 50 ft away. A rheostat sets the speed, and a thermal switch can start and stop the fan with the fire.

Which fireplaces does the VA4460 fit?
Valcourt lists it for the Waterloo FP15 and FP15A, the Dallaire II FP18R and the St-Louis FP19.
Is the flex duct included?
Plan on the 6" x 25' insulated flex pipe AC01350, which Valcourt lists as a separate option for its forced air kits. The kit manual calls for at least 25 ft of 6" insulated duct.
Can I tie it into my furnace ducts?
The manual says not to connect any hot air duct to a cold air return. If it is connected to a furnace hot air system, a backflow shutter is needed between the fan and the furnace duct, and in Canada a furnace connection is not allowed unless local codes permit it.
Where does the blower go?
At least 10 ft from the fireplace, outside its enclosure, with 2" to combustibles and access for maintenance.
