Questions people ask us

What is a power burner for?

High heat in a pot or wok. True Flame rates the TFPB at 60,000 BTU for boils, wok cooking, frying and searing, and the removable wok grate gives you more leverage with a wok while you stir-fry.

What size opening do I cut?

True Flame's cutout sheet lists 14" W x 18 3/4" D x 7 3/4" H. The burner itself measures 15 3/4" W x 23 1/2" D x 10 1/2" H. Check the current cutout sheet below before you build.

How much clearance does it need?

The 2025 manual lists at least 2 inches at the sides and rear to a non-combustible wall, 10 inches to a protected combustible wall, 14 inches to a combustible wall and 5 feet from the countertop to overhead construction.

Natural gas or propane?

Order TFPB for natural gas or TFPBL for propane. The manual says changing gas type needs a conversion kit, so ask us before planning one.
