Questions people ask us

What size opening do I cut?

True Flame's cutout sheet lists 10 3/4" W x 20 1/2" D x 7 3/4" H. The burner itself measures 12 1/2" W x 25 1/2" D x 10 3/4" H. Check the current cutout sheet below before you build.

Do I need a liner?

Yes, if the island is combustible. The GL-TFSB2 liner is True Flame's insulating liner for this burner.

How much clearance does it need?

The 2025 manual lists at least 2 inches at the sides and rear to a non-combustible wall, 10 inches to a protected combustible wall, 14 inches to a combustible wall and 5 feet from the countertop to overhead construction.

Natural gas or propane?

Order TFSB2 for natural gas or TFSB2L for propane. The manual says changing gas type needs a conversion kit and a qualified gas technician.
