SwamCam 50ft Camera Power Cable | SCPC50
SwamCam 50ft Camera Power Cable | SCPC50
The SwamCam 50ft power cable extends a camera's reach across the yard. It is the cable only, so it requires the current style SwamCam power adapter already installed. If you need the adapter too, order the set instead.
Which power item do you need?
This one is for upgrading the run length when your adapter is already the current style. If you are not certain which adapter you have, order the set with the adapter included rather than guessing.
| Model | Cable | Adapter | Buy it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| SCPP50 | 50 ft | Included | Long run, and you need the current style adapter |
| SCPC50 | 50 ft | Not included | Long run, and your adapter is already the current style |
| SCPP16 | 15 ft | Included | Short run, and you need the current style adapter |
| SCPC16 | 15 ft | Not included | Short run, and your adapter is already the current style |
| SCPA6 | None | Adapter only | Replacing just the power pack, reusing the camera cable |
What are the specifications?

When is the longer cable worth it?
When the camera needs to sit well out into the yard to see the approaches to the water, and the nearest outlet is back at the house. A camera placed for the outlet rather than for the view is a compromised camera.
SwamCam is an additional layer of protection. It is not a substitute for a barrier or for supervision, and constant adult supervision is still required.

What else do buyers ask about the 50ft Power Cable?
How do I know which cable length I need?
Measure from the outlet you intend to use to the mounting point, following the route the cable will actually take rather than a straight line. Then allow slack. Cord length is the most common install mistake on this product.
Which adapter style do I have?
If your system is recent it will be the current style. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the adapter or tell us roughly when the system was installed and we will identify it before you order.
Can I join two cables to reach further?
We would not recommend it. Use the 50ft cable for a long run rather than joining shorter ones, which introduces a connection point outdoors and a possible failure point in the camera's power.
Does the cable need to be buried or protected?
Follow the manufacturer's instructions and any local electrical requirements for outdoor runs. If the route crosses somewhere people walk or mow, protect it. This is a question for your electrician rather than for us.
Why is there no adapter with this?
Because it is sold as an upgrade for people who already have the current style power pack and only need a longer run. Buying the adapter again would add cost you do not need.
What if I have the older adapter?
Then this cable is not the right item, because it is made for the current style power pack. Order SCPP50 instead, which is the same 50ft cable supplied together with the current style adapter so the two arrive matched.
Not sure which adapter you have?
Send us a photo of the power pack, or tell us roughly when the system was installed. We will confirm before you order the wrong item. Manuals, warranties and certificates are on our manuals and guides page. Aqua Terra Backyard is a retailer, not an installer.
