The Superior DRL3500 is a clean-face linear direct vent gas fireplace with a factory-installed blower, floor lighting and a multi-function remote, offered here for natural gas in 35, 45 and 55 inch widths. Flames rise through platinum crushed glass media in a low, wide opening that suits contemporary and transitional rooms. Models DRL3535TEN, DRL3545TEN and DRL3555TEN, all with electronic ignition.

Questions people ask us

What does the DRL3500 add over the DRL2000?

The same firebox and framing, plus a factory-installed six-speed blower, six-setting floor lighting and a multi-function remote for pilot mode, thermostat, flame height, blower and lights. The DRL2000 is the base model.

Is it available for propane?

These three SKUs are the natural gas models. Superior also builds the DRL3500 for propane (the TEP models). Ask us if you need LP.

How is it vented?

It uses IHP 4.5 by 7.5 inch Secure Vent rigid or Secure Flex direct vent pipe. The 55 inch model requires at least 1 foot of vertical rise directly off the unit, and Superior strongly recommends it on the 35 and 45 inch models.

Will it run in a power outage?

Yes. The electronic ignition has a battery backup, so the fire keeps working when the power is out.
