The Skytech FK-165-ESC is a low profile universal fireplace fan kit that pairs the F-165-1 blower with the FK-ESC electronic speed control. The control senses the main flame, starts the fan 7 minutes after the flame comes on and stops it 12 minutes after the flame goes off. It is a retrofit or new fan kit for many hearth products with a millivolt or electronic IPI valve system.

Will it fit my fireplace?
Skytech sells it as a universal kit for many hearth products, as a retrofit or a new install. The blower measures 12-3/4" W x 4" H x 3-1/2" D. Your appliance manual decides whether a fan kit is allowed and where it goes, so send us the model and we will check.
Does it work with my gas valve?
The FK-ESC reads the signal from a millivolt or electronic IPI valve system. It will not operate with a 24VAC gas valve system.
How does the fan know when to run?
It follows the main flame: on 7 minutes after the flame lights and off 12 minutes after it goes out. You pick one of four speeds, and the control remembers your last setting.
What is the difference from the FK-165-RT?
Both use the same low profile blower. The FK-165-RT comes with a rheostat and temperature sensor, while this kit uses the FK-ESC electronic control that follows the flame.
