Lids
Power Vac Safety Lid, PV2100
The safety lid for the PV2100. It closes over the propeller and keeps hands, hoses and bag material clear of the blades while the unit is running.
- It is a guard, not a cover. The lid stands between a spinning propeller and a hand, a hose or a loose bag. A machine missing its lid should not be running.
- Warping is the usual failure. Heat in a truck bed and repeated flexing take a lid out of shape, and one that does not seat properly is not doing its job.
- Keep a spare with the unit. It is inexpensive and its absence stops the job entirely.
A cracked lid stops the job
The machine goes out of service on the spot, and damage from running without the guard is precisely what a warranty will not cover. It costs almost nothing, so keep a spare in the truck.

Common questions
Can I run the machine without it?
No. It is the guard over a spinning propeller, and running without it risks a hand, a hose or the bag.
Will a lid from another model fit?
Each machine has its own lid part number, so do not assume it will. Send us your model and we will confirm.
Mine is cracked but still seats. Is that fine?
Not for long. A crack propagates under vibration and the lid eventually lets go.
How do I stop it warping?
Keep it out of a hot truck bed where you can, and do not force it when it does not seat cleanly.
