Power Vac Orange Cord Seal Grommet
The orange grommet that seals the power cord inside the compression fitting on a Power Vac head. It keeps pool water out of the cord entry, and it is the cheapest insurance on the machine.
- Water in the cord entry is how motors die. The grommet is the seal that stops it. A hardened, cracked or missing grommet is a slow leak into the housing.
- It sits inside the compression fitting. It is not a cosmetic bushing, it is the water seal.
- Change it when you change the cord. It costs almost nothing and the fitting is already open.
Cheapest insurance on the machine
Water at the cord entry is what kills motors. A few dollars of rubber is what stands between the two. Change it any time the cord is off and you will never think about it again.

Common questions
How do I know it has failed?
Rubber that has gone hard, cracked or taken a permanent set is done. If you find moisture inside the housing at the cord entry, it has already failed.
Is this the same part as the C-clamp?
No. The grommet seals, the clamp restrains. They are separate parts and machines use both.
Should I replace it with the cord?
Yes. The fitting is already open and the part costs almost nothing.
Will it fit my PV3600?
