The Osburn AC01323 projection kit brings the Matrix wood insert's cast iron faceplate forward by 2" or 4" when the insert sits out from the fireplace opening. It fills the space between the backing plate and the faceplate so the front stays closed. It mounts on a top backing plate kit, sold separately.

Questions people ask us
How do I set 2" or 4"?
The kit is built for 4". For 2", fold and separate the parts at the micro joints and discard the grey top sections, as Osburn's instructions show.
How does it attach?
Bolt each side projection to the top projection, line the assembly up with the backing plate and fasten it with six screws. The brackets on the insert are set to the matching 2" or 4" predrilled holes.
Does it fit the Matrix 2700?
No. Osburn lists the AC01263 projection kit for the Matrix 2700. The AC01323 is listed for the Matrix wood insert.
Do I need it at all?
Measure how far the faceplate will sit forward of the fireplace opening. If it is more than 0", you need it. Not sure? Send us your Osburn model and serial number through our contact page and we will confirm the part before you order.
