The Majestic Ruby Platinum 30 (RUBYP30IN) is a 30 inch direct vent gas fireplace insert rated 27,000 BTU/h on natural gas. Majestic gives it a burner with flames that wrap around the logs and an LED ember bed, with IntelliFire Touch ignition. It converts a masonry or UL 127 factory-built wood fireplace to gas through a LINK-DV chimney liner.

Measure the firebox first.The Ruby Platinum 30 needs the minimum opening above, a decorative barrier front ordered with it, a surround and a LINK-DV vent kit. Majestic fireplaces should be installed by a qualified, certified installer. A licensed gas professional should make the gas connection to the instructions and local codes.

Questions people ask us

How is it different from the standard Ruby 30?

Majestic lists a Platinum burner with flames that wrap around the logs and an LED ember bed with three brightness levels. The firebox opening requirements match the Ruby 30.

What else do I need?

A decorative barrier front, a surround and the vent kit. Majestic offers Clean Screen, Contemporary Arched and Inside Fit fronts in black or new bronze. See fronts and surrounds.

Does it work in a power outage?

The battery pack runs the insert in an emergency, but Majestic notes that battery operation disables remote functions for the fan, lights and other AC-powered features.
