The Majestic Ruby is a direct vent gas fireplace insert in 25, 30 and 35 inch sizes, offered here in natural gas and propane. It turns an existing masonry or UL 127 factory-built wood fireplace into a gas fire, venting through the chimney on a LINK-DV liner system. IntelliFire Touch ignition and an RC400 remote come standard.

Measure the firebox before you order.Each Ruby size has a minimum fireplace opening, and the insert needs a decorative barrier front and a surround, ordered with it. Majestic fireplaces should be installed by a qualified, certified installer. A licensed gas professional should make the gas connection to the instructions and local codes.

Questions people ask us

Will it fit my fireplace?

Measure the front width, front height and depth of your firebox. The minimum openings are 25": 26-5/8 in. front width x 17-5/16 in. front height; 30": 31-5/8 x 21 in.; 35": 36-5/8 x 24-1/4 in.; 15 in. depth (standard surround). Send us the numbers and we will check them.

How does it vent?

Through the existing chimney on a LINK-DV system, which runs exhaust and fresh air in two 3 inch flex pipes. The vertical run must be 10 to 50 ft. See venting.

What else do I need to order?

A decorative barrier front, a surround and the vent kit. Majestic offers the Clean Screen, Contemporary Arched and Inside Fit fronts and steel surrounds. See fronts and surrounds.

Does it work in a power outage?

Yes, for emergencies. The IntelliFire Touch system can run on four AA batteries (not included).
