The Majestic on-site custom surround is a black painted sheet metal surround for Majestic 25, 30 and 35 inch gas inserts that you trim to fit on the job. It ships 4-sided with a vanity panel, and the instructions allow cutting 5 or 6 inches off the bottom to make it 3-sided. Part numbers MI25-5040CS-BK, MI30-5040CS-BK and MI35-5040CS-BK.

Keep combustibles clear and edges deburred.Combustible materials must not overlap or be placed under the surround. Cut it with an electric shear for a clean edge, then deburr and touch up the paint, as Majestic's instructions describe. Wear gloves: sheet metal edges are sharp.

Questions people ask us

When would I use the on-site surround?

When the standard Small, Medium or Large surrounds do not suit the opening. It is cut to fit on the job and can be made 3-sided by trimming the bottom.

What if it bows when the insert is running?

Majestic notes the surround may bow in some installs, and removable mechanical fasteners can hold it flush against the noncombustible surface.

Does it need a front?

Yes. The surround is required, and the decorative front is placed after the surround is attached to the insert. See the Clean Screen and Inside Fit fronts.

What size is it?
