Kemp USA Premium Polypropylene Floating Rope
Kemp USA Premium Polypropylene Floating Rope
Rope at a pool does two jobs: it separates lanes and it marks the drop off. Both have to float, both have to be visible, and both live in chlorine permanently.
- Floating polypropyleneAnything that sinks is useless for both jobs. Polypropylene floats and does not rot.
- Diameter is a strength decisionThree eighths for marking, half inch and three quarter for anything taking load or a lot of hands.
- Buy it by the spoolCutting from a spool to the length you need is cheaper and more flexible than buying fixed lengths.
Measure the run before you order
Pool widths are rarely what people remember them being. Measure, add for the anchors and the splice, then order.

Common questions
Three eighths for a float line marker, half inch or three quarter for lane lines and anything that takes real load.
Yes. Polypropylene is the standard for pool rope for exactly that reason.
Yes, several of these are sold per foot so you can cut to your run.
UV is the limit. An outdoor pool should expect to replace float lines more often than an indoor one.
