GRI DPARM Pool Door Alarm with Adult Pass Through, Surface Mount
A door or window onto a pool deck is the gap in most backyard safety setups. This alarm watches that opening on a closed loop circuit and sounds the moment it opens, unless an adult pressed the pass through first.
- Instant on
- 85 dB at 10 ft
- 15 second pass through
- Surface mount
- The pass through is the whole pointAn adult presses the shunt button, gets a 15 second window to go through, and the alarm arms itself again automatically. A child who cannot reach or work the button sets it off.
- Three volume settingsA jumper sets full, three quarter or half volume, so a unit inside a small hallway does not have to be as loud as one on an open deck.
- Battery, hardwired, or bothRuns on a 9V battery, on 12VDC, or on both with the battery as backup. It warns you when the battery is low rather than going quiet.
An alarm is a layer, never a substitute for watching
George Risk states it plainly and so do we: this is not a life saving device. It tells you a door opened. It does not supervise a child, and it does not replace a fence, a self closing gate or an adult paying attention. On the code question, George Risk publishes no UL 2017 listing for this model and model pool barrier codes require a door alarm listed to that standard, so if you are buying to satisfy an inspection call us on 631-678-6506 and we will point you at the listed part instead.

Common questions
We cannot say that it will. George Risk publishes no UL 2017 listing, no ETL number and no code compliance claim for the DPARM. Model codes call for a door alarm listed to UL 2017. If the alarm is for an inspection, ask us and we will get you the listed part.
Press the shunt button before opening. That gives a 15 second window, then the alarm resets itself automatically.
It can run on a 9V battery alone, which makes it a retrofit. It also accepts 12VDC if you want it powered permanently, and supports a remote reset switch and remote sounders.
Yes. This one is instant on. George Risk also makes a 7 second delay version, and we can order it.
Delivery choices are shown at checkout. If you need a date confirmed before you order, call 631-678-6506 and we will confirm it with the warehouse first.
