Yes. FireGarden's 4035 manual says the firebacks are required before the fireplace is operated.
Brick or black glass?
Both fit the 4035. The brick gives a classic look. The Black Glass Fireback, 96100884 lines it in black glass instead.
What goes in after the fireback?
The log set, either the 9 piece Oak or Birch set or the 11 piece Bon-Fyre Birch set, then the glass windbreaks.
