Duravent DuraTech Chimney Cap, 6" and 8", Stainless
The Duravent DuraTech chimney cap is the stainless steel termination for 6 or 8 inch DuraTech chimney. Duravent requires it to keep precipitation out of the chimney. The cap is held to its skirt with four screws so it comes off for inspection and cleaning. Part numbers 6DT-VC and 8DT-VC.

The cap is required.Duravent requires a chimney cap on every DuraTech chimney. Add the 5DT-SA spark arrestor where local code or the appliance calls for one.

Does it include a spark arrestor?
No. The 5DT-SA spark arrestor is sold separately and fits DuraTech caps from 5" to 8".
How does it attach?
Hold the cap's collar and twist it clockwise onto the top section.
Can I remove it to sweep the chimney?
Yes. The cap is held to the skirt with four screws so it comes off for inspection and cleaning.
