TropiCal T70 inverter pool heat pump, 63,000 BTU
A full inverter heat pump that heats and cools the pool, matching its output to what the water needs instead of running flat out. It makes 63,000 BTU at 80/80/80 in Boost mode and runs from the PoolSync app.

Why the inverter matters.
A fixed speed heat pump runs at full output or not at all. The TropiCal runs at the output the pool actually needs, which is where the 10.8 COP in Eco mode comes from, and it quietly holds the temperature once the water is there.

Installation and what is included
The heat pump goes on its own dedicated circuit, sized from the ampacity and fuse figures in the specifications. A licensed electrician should make the connection.
Plumb it for 20 to 60 GPM. Above the maximum, AquaCal requires a heater bypass, and we will match one to your plumbing.
Built in PoolSync WiFi connects it to the PoolSync app once it is installed.
Shipping and returns
In stock orders are processed and shipped within 1 to 2 business days. Heat pumps travel by freight carrier and freight deliveries are made curbside.
Inspect the shipment before you sign for it. Signing without noting visible damage counts as accepting it in good condition. Report concealed damage within 48 hours and keep the packaging.
Return requests must be submitted within 21 calendar days from delivery, and every return needs prior written authorization from Aqua Terra Backyard.

Will it heat the pool when the air is cool?
Yes, with less output as the air cools. AquaCal rates the T70 at 25,500 BTU with 50 degree air, 80 degree water and 63 percent humidity.
Can it cool the pool?
Yes. Every AquaCal heat pump heats and cools.
Do I need an electrician?
Yes. It runs on 230V single phase power on a dedicated circuit, and a licensed electrician should make the connection.
