The Valcourt VA7FE06 is a black straight narrow overlap for the Antoinette FP7D wood fireplace, made for thin facing materials such as tile. The FP7D needs one finishing trim: this narrow overlap or the straight masonry trim VA7DTR. The overlap screws to the front of the fireplace and covers the edge of the facing.

Which trim should I choose?
Use the narrow overlap with thin facing such as tile. For brick or stone set flush, Valcourt offers the straight masonry trim VA7DTR.
Is a trim required on the Antoinette?
Yes. The FP7D manual says you must install a narrow overlap or a masonry trim, both sold separately. The fireplace also needs one of the moulded brick panel sets.
How is it installed?
After the fireplace is installed, push the overlap against the non-combustible facing, secure it with 4 screws and check that the door still slides freely.
