The Valcourt AC01363 forced air kit sends heat from the Mundo II FP12R wood fireplace to another room through 6 inch insulated duct. Valcourt states it can only be installed with the modern style gravity kit AC01389K, sold separately. The blower mounts at least 3 feet from the fireplace, outside its enclosure, and the kit is wired with a thermal switch.

Do I need a gravity kit too?
Yes. Valcourt says the forced air kit can only be installed with the modern gravity kit AC01389K.
What else is needed?
The 6" x 25' insulated flex pipe AC01350 and an air register, which the manual lists as not included.
Can it connect to my furnace?
Never to a cold air return. A furnace hot air connection needs a backflow shutter, and in Canada it is only allowed where local codes permit it.
