The SwamCam power pack is the 12 volt step down adapter that feeds the camera. It carries a 5ft lead of its own and requires a 115 volt outlet. No cable to the camera is included, so it replaces the pack rather than the run.
Which power item do you need?
This is the adapter on its own, for replacing a failed or older style power pack while keeping the cable already run to the camera.

When does the power pack need replacing?
When the camera has gone dark and the cable checks out, or when you are running an older style pack and want to move to a current style cable. Swapping the pack is the cheaper half of the power system to replace.
SwamCam is an additional layer of protection. It is not a substitute for a barrier or for supervision, and constant adult supervision is still required.

How do I know which cable length I need?
Measure from the outlet you intend to use to the mounting point, following the route the cable will actually take rather than a straight line. Then allow slack. Cord length is the most common install mistake on this product.
Which adapter style do I have?
If your system is recent it will be the current style. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the adapter or tell us roughly when the system was installed and we will identify it before you order.
Can I join two cables to reach further?
We would not recommend it. Use the 50ft cable for a long run rather than joining shorter ones, which introduces a connection point outdoors and a possible failure point in the camera's power.
Does this include a cable to the camera?
No. It is the power pack with its own 5ft lead. The cable that runs out to the camera is a separate item, sold in 15ft and 50ft lengths.
Why is this SKU called 6 when the product says 5ft?
SwamCam renamed the item and left the SKU unchanged. The digit reflects the older nominal length. Order by SCPA6 and you will get the right part whichever name your paperwork uses.
What outlet does it need?
A standard 115 volt outlet. The pack steps that down to the 12 volts the camera runs on, so no other electrical work is normally involved.
Camera gone dark?
Check the cable before you replace the pack, and tell us what you find. Replacing the wrong half of the power system is the usual way to spend twice. Manuals, warranties and certificates are on our manuals and guides page. Aqua Terra Backyard is a retailer, not an installer.
