SwamCam 50ft Camera Power Cable and Adapter | SCPP50
SwamCam 50ft Camera Power Cable and Adapter | SCPP50
The SwamCam 50ft power cable and adapter set powers a camera mounted well away from the house. It includes the current style power adapter, so it is the complete solution for a long run rather than a cable on its own.
Which power item do you need?
This one covers a long run and includes the adapter. If you already have the current style adapter and only need more cable, the bare 50ft cable costs less.
| Model | Cable | Adapter | Buy it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| SCPP50 | 50 ft | Included | Long run, and you need the current style adapter |
| SCPC50 | 50 ft | Not included | Long run, and your adapter is already the current style |
| SCPP16 | 15 ft | Included | Short run, and you need the current style adapter |
| SCPC16 | 15 ft | Not included | Short run, and your adapter is already the current style |
| SCPA6 | None | Adapter only | Replacing just the power pack, reusing the camera cable |

Why does cord length matter so much?
Because the camera runs on mains power, the cord is what decides where it can go. Buyers routinely mount first and discover the cable will not reach, which means either moving the camera or ordering again.
Work the route out before you drill. SwamCam is an additional layer of protection. It is not a substitute for a barrier or for supervision, and constant adult supervision is still required.

What else do buyers ask about the 50ft Power Cable and Adapter?
How do I know which cable length I need?
Measure from the outlet you intend to use to the mounting point, following the route the cable will actually take rather than a straight line. Then allow slack. Cord length is the most common install mistake on this product.
Which adapter style do I have?
If your system is recent it will be the current style. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the adapter or tell us roughly when the system was installed and we will identify it before you order.
Can I join two cables to reach further?
We would not recommend it. Use the 50ft cable for a long run rather than joining shorter ones, which introduces a connection point outdoors and a possible failure point in the camera's power.
Does the cable need to be buried or protected?
Follow the manufacturer's instructions and any local electrical requirements for outdoor runs. If the route crosses somewhere people walk or mow, protect it. This is a question for your electrician rather than for us.
Does this include everything I need?
For the power side, yes. It has the 50ft cable and the current style adapter, so you do not need to reuse an older power pack. It does not include the camera or any mounting hardware.
Is 50ft measured to the camera or including the adapter?
The 50ft figure is the cable to the camera. The adapter carries its own short lead in addition. Measure the run you need to the camera and use the cable figure.
Not sure how long a run you need?
Measure from the outlet to the mounting point along the route the cable will really take, then tell us the number. We will tell you which item to order. Manuals, warranties and certificates are on our manuals and guides page. Aqua Terra Backyard is a retailer, not an installer.
