The Superior WRT4500 is a clean-faced, open hearth wood burning fireplace with a 30 inch tall opening and a full brick-to-face interior, offered in 36, 42 and 50 inch models. Textured refractory panels with an integrated ash lip are included, in a stacked (WS) or herringbone (WH) pattern. A fully insulated firebox, a massive smoke dome and a cast iron grate with forged andirons round it out.

Questions people ask us

Is the interior included?

Yes. Each WRT4500 model includes its refractory panels. Pick the stacked (WS) or herringbone (WH) pattern when you order.

What chimney does it use?

The IHP 12DM wood burning chimney, or 12HT, which is required in Canada. Plan the chimney with the fireplace.

Can I add glass doors?

Yes. Superior offers glass doors with a black trim finish and masonry bi-fold doors as options, plus left or right outside air kits.

Can I burn gas logs in it?

Superior offers gas log sets for the WRT4500, and its specification sheet allows gas logs approved to ANSI Z21.60, Z21.84 or Z21.11.2. A licensed gas professional should make the gas connection to the instructions and local codes.
