Questions people ask us

What does a HeatFlo kit do?

It takes the convective heat that would leave the front of the fireplace and sends it through flex pipes to a register higher on the wall. That lets a TV sit closer above the fireplace or in a recessed pocket.

How close can the TV be?

On a flush wall IHP gives 12 inches above the fireplace opening as the minimum, and 18 inches for a recessed pocket. Follow the TV maker's heat limits too. Most TV makers advise against mounting above a heat source.

Can I add it to a finished wall?

It is meant to go in when the fireplace is installed and framed. The framing dimensions change with the kit, so plan it before the wall is closed.

What is in the box?

A register assembly and trim, four 4-1/2 inch flex pipes that stretch to 70 inches, clamps, brackets, collars, screws and an angled hood that replaces the flat hood.

Is it right for my fireplace?

The model number is on the rating label of the fireplace. Send it to us and we will check the part against the parts list before you order.
