The Superior DRT63STTEN-B is a 40 inch see-through traditional direct vent gas fireplace for natural gas, rated up to 57,000 BTU/hr. It can be set up indoor to indoor, or indoor to outdoor with Superior's optional outdoor window kit. A flush hearth, aged oak fiber log set, hidden side gas controls and a full-function remote round it out.

Indoor/outdoor installs: controls go inside.For indoor/outdoor installations the control side of the fireplace must face the indoor room. A licensed gas professional should make the gas connection to the instructions and local codes.

Questions people ask us

Can one side face outdoors?

Yes. With Superior's optional outdoor window kit, tested to ASTM commercial window standards, the DRT63ST can be installed indoor to outdoor. The control side must be on the indoor side.

Is it available for propane?

Superior lists the propane model as available through field conversion only. This SKU ships for natural gas. Ask us about the conversion kit.

What vent pipe does it use?

An 8 inch inner by 11 inch outer co-axial direct vent pipe. The spec sheet shows a minimum of 2 feet of vertical vent and one 90 degree elbow for the standard framing.

Which liner does it take?

Superior offers a two-piece black reflective porcelain liner or ceramic fiber liners in Buff Rustic Herringbone and Buff Rustic Stack. Ask us to confirm the liner with your order.
