The Superior DRL4000 is a large linear direct vent gas fireplace with an expansive ceramic glass opening, offered here for natural gas in 60 and 84 inch models. It has electronic ignition with battery backup, a clean face with integrated tile stops and crushed glass floor media. Models DRL4060TEN-B and DRL4084TEN. A blower, a multi-function remote and an indoor see-through kit are optional.

Heavy unit, professional installation.The 60 inch model weighs about 470 lbs and the 84 inch about 640 lbs, so plan the delivery and framing. A licensed gas professional should make the gas connection to the instructions and local codes.

Questions people ask us

DRL4000 or DRL6000?

They share sizes, framing and inputs. The DRL4000 keeps the blower and remote optional. The DRL6000 includes a factory-installed blower, floor lighting, a black porcelain liner and a multi-function remote.

Can it be a see-through fireplace?

Yes, with Superior's optional see-through conversion kit for the matching size, installed before the fireplace goes into the framing. The blower cannot be used in a see-through installation.

What vent pipe does it use?

IHP 6 by 9 inch DV Lock direct vent pipe, up to 40 feet. The first 2 feet off the collar must run vertical before any offset.

Is it available for propane?

These SKUs are the natural gas models. Superior lists propane ratings for the DRL4000 as well, so ask us if you need LP.
