This is the Superior bi-fold glass door in black for the WRT4500 and WRT4800 series wood-burning fireplaces and their WRE outdoor versions, in 36, 42 or 50 inch sizes. BDG36 (catalog F1002), BDG42 (F1005) and BD50 (F1008) are the black finish doors in the IHP glass door kit, which ships as one door assembly with its instruction sheet.

Install the doors before the refractory panels.The instructions call for the doors to go in before the refractory panels. If the panels are already in, remove the back and sides and slide the bottom panel toward the rear first. The fireplace must be off and cold.

Match the door to the fireplace width: BDG36 for 36 inch, BDG42 for 42 inch and BD50 for 50 inch models. The model is on the rating label.

Which fireplaces does it fit?

IHP lists this door kit for the WRT4536/42/50, WRE4536/42/50, WRT4842/50 and WRE4842/50, plus the Georgian, Oracle and Belmont 36/42/50.

What comes in the box?

One glass bi-fold door assembly and the instruction sheet. You need 1/8 inch shims and a Phillips screwdriver to level it.

Can I get brass or platinum?

IHP makes these doors in brushed brass and platinum as well. Ask us about those finishes.

Any liner rules on the Georgian?

Yes. The Georgian manual lists these bi-fold doors for use with Estate refractory panels only. Ask us if your Georgian has a Mosaic Masonry liner.
