Sunstar Gas Connector, 1/2 in, 24 in, Stainless, Powder Coated Black
The flexible connector between the gas stub and the heater, in stainless with a black powder coat so it is not the thing you notice under a black heater.
- The heater takes 1/2 in NPT male. This connector is sized for it, which is why it is on this page rather than in a general plumbing aisle.
- Black, because it will be visible. A braided silver connector under a black heater is the detail people notice from the table.
- Not a substitute for the hard pipe. This is the last two feet. The run to it is the gas fitter's work and it has to be sized for everything on the line.
A connector does not fix an undersized gas line. If more than one appliance runs off the same line, have it sized for all of them together, because a line sized for one leaves two of them running weak the first time they are lit at once.

Is 24 inches long enough?
For most installs, yes, because the stub is put where the heater is going. If your stub is further away, tell us the distance before you order.
Can I fit this myself?
Gas work is for a licensed professional. It is a short job for them and it is not one to learn on.
