If the filter lid is cracked, the lock ring no longer seats correctly, or the top of the cartridge filter is leaking air or water after service, the cover kit is one of the first parts to inspect. A damaged top assembly can make the filter harder to seal and can turn normal maintenance into an ongoing pressure problem.
This cartridge filter cover kit restores the upper closure assembly on compatible Raypak Protege RPCFP cartridge filters. It replaces the parts that secure and seal the top of the tank so the filter can maintain proper internal pressure and stay serviceable. When the original lid or ring is damaged, replacing the full kit is usually the cleaner repair.
