If the filter is not routing water correctly internally, media service revealed a damaged standpipe, or the internal pipe assembly is cracked or misaligned, the center pipe is one of the first parts to inspect. A failed center pipe can disrupt the internal flow path and turn an otherwise serviceable filter into a repeat repair.
This center pipe assembly kit is used in the Raypak Protege RPSF25 filter. It supports the internal water path through the filter body and works with the surrounding internal filter components to maintain proper flow direction. When the center pipe is broken, warped, or not sealing where it should, filtration performance and internal function can break down quickly.
