If the heater is running hotter than expected internally, tripping limits, or showing uneven heat transfer symptoms, the exchanger baffles deserve attention. Missing or damaged baffles can change how heat moves through the exchanger, which hurts efficiency and can shorten exchanger life.
This baffle kit is used inside the heat exchanger assembly to manage heat flow and improve transfer across the exchanger path. When baffles corrode, warp, or are left out during prior service, the heater may not move heat the way it was designed to. Replacing them helps restore the exchanger’s intended performance on compatible models 336 and 337.
