Proficient AW830 8 in 3 Way Outdoor Speakers, Pair
An 8 inch three way pair for a large deck, a pool surround or anywhere two small speakers were never going to be enough. Thirty five pounds of speaker for a reason.
- Pair, 2 speakers
- 8 in woofer
- 3 way design
- 4 ohm
- A real midrange driver, not a compromiseEight inch woofer, 3 inch graphite midrange and a 1 inch pivoting soft dome. The separate midrange is what keeps voices forward when you turn it up outdoors.
- Low end without a subwoofer35 Hz on the bottom from a ported cabinet. For a lot of patios this pair alone is the whole system.
- Check your amplifier firstThis pair is a 4 ohm load. Most receivers handle one pair, but running two pairs off one channel pair needs an amplifier rated for it.
Four ohms, and worth saying twice
Every other speaker in this range is 8 ohms. The AW830 is 4, so an older receiver driving two pairs on one zone can go into protection. If you are not sure what yours is rated for, ask us before you order.

Common questions
Two. The AW830 is sold as a stereo pair with swivel brackets included.
At 4 ohms this pair draws more current than an 8 ohm speaker. One pair on a modern receiver is fine. Two pairs on one channel pair needs a 4 ohm stable amplifier.
Both, from the dropdown, and the picture follows your choice.
Often not. At 35 Hz these carry their own low end on most patios.
