What is the Ven Durable Box Chaise made of?
The frame is powder coated aluminum. Powder coat is applied dry and electrostatically, then cured under heat into a continuous shell, which gives a harder and more chip resistant surface than wet paint. Aluminum does not rust, which is why it is the default frame material for poolside and coastal use.
The seat and back are composite sling, a tensioned technical fabric that carries load across the frame and drains freely rather than absorbing water. Nothing stays damp, so there is no cushion to bring in when it rains and nothing to store at the end of the season.

How do I care for this piece?
Wash the sling with mild soapy water and a soft brush, rinse, and let it air dry. Because the weave drains, it dries on its own and does not need to come indoors after rain.
Do not use solvent cleaners or bleach on the sling. They break down the coating on the yarn and leave the fabric brittle and chalky well before it would otherwise wear out.
The aluminum frame needs no waxing or sealing. Check the glides under each leg once a season.
