Ven Durable Box Chaise
A poolside chaise built as a box section aluminum frame with a composite sling stretched over it. The back takes four positions down to flat, it rolls on integrated wheels and it stacks, which is why it is the chaise that turns up where a dozen of them have to be put away every evening.
- Six foot seven of chaise, 26 lb. 79.5 inches long and 26 inches wide at a 15 inch seat height, and light enough for one person to reposition without dragging it across the deck.
- Four back positions, flat to upright. The back locks at four angles and the last one lies flat, so the same frame is a reading chair in the afternoon and a sunbed at midday.
- Wheels at one end, and it stacks. Tip it and roll it. Stacking means a terrace full of them goes into a store room in a fraction of the floor space, which is the reason this chaise exists.
- Sling, not cushions. A PVC coated polyester mesh over the frame. Nothing to soak up rain, nothing to carry inside before a storm, nothing to blow off the deck.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Welded heavy gauge powder coated aluminum with stainless steel hardware. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Sling. Composite sling: a PVC coated polyester mesh stretched over the frame. There is no foam and no cover, so there is nothing to soak up water. It drains, it dries in the sun and it does not need to be brought in before a storm.
Finish and sling color. The Ven chaise is built in Oxford Garden's sling and powder coat ranges, and you choose both at order.

Care and Maintenance
Sling. Hose it down and let it dry. Sling fabric drains and dries on its own and does not need to be brought inside. For stubborn marks, mild soap and a soft brush.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The chaise can stay outside all year. If you stack them for the winter, wipe the frames down first so grit is not ground into the finish under the weight.

How far does the back recline?
Four positions, and the last one is flat. That is the range that matters at a pool: upright to read, a couple of steps back to talk to somebody, and flat to lie in the sun without propping anything under your head.
Can I leave it out in the rain?
Yes. A composite sling is a coated mesh stretched on an aluminum frame. There is no foam and no cover, so water runs through and the frame does not rust. Hose it off and it dries in the sun.
Does it stack?
Yes, and that is the point of the design. A stack of Ven chaises takes a fraction of the floor area of the same chaises standing, which is why hotels and clubs use them. The wheels let you move them one at a time to the stack.
What color is the sling and the frame?
Whichever you choose, at no extra cost. We confirm both with you before ordering.
Does it need assembly?
No. The Ven chaise arrives fully assembled. It comes off the truck ready to use, which is also why it arrives case packed rather than flat in a box.
Will it fit through a gate?
The chaise is 79.5 inches long and 26 inches wide. Upright on its wheels it clears a standard 36 inch gate easily. The carton, at 90 by 34 by 40 inches, will not, so unpack at the curb.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. The carton is 90 inches long, far past what a parcel carrier accepts. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window.
