Tulle Coffee Table
Five feet of solid teak on a woven resin wicker base, at 16.25 inches high. It is scaled to the Tulle sofa rather than to a chair, which is why it runs 60 inches long instead of the 40 inch square most outdoor coffee tables settle for.
- 60 inches long. Long enough to serve an 86.5 inch sofa and two club chairs at once instead of only reaching the middle seat.
- 16.25 inches high. One inch above the 15.25 inch seat of the Tulle lounge pieces, which is where a coffee table should sit relative to the cushion.
- A 45.5 by 20.5 inch woven base. Set well inside the top, so feet go under it from either side rather than hitting a rail.
- Solid teak, left unfinished. It silvers over roughly a season outdoors if you let it, and a sealer holds the honey tone if you would rather it did not.

Materials and Construction
Teak. Solid teak, sustainably sourced. Teak works outdoors because of what is already in the wood: a high natural oil content that resists water, insects and rot with no coating on top of it. It is supplied unfinished and oxidizes to a soft silver gray over roughly a season if it is left alone.
Weave. All weather resin wicker, hand woven by hand over the frame. The strand is solid synthetic fibre colored the whole way through rather than surface dyed, so a scuff does not expose a pale core and the weave does not absorb water, go brittle in sun or mildew.

Weave Colors
Oxford Garden weaves Tulle in Shadow (weave code W.O) and Flax (W.F), the two colorways held for this collection, and in Sand (W.D) from the general Oxford Garden weave range. All three carry the same price, so the choice is purely visual.

Care and Maintenance
Teak. No treatment is required. To hold the honey tone rather than let it silver, apply a teak sealer once a season to a dry surface. Do not use a pressure washer, which tears the soft grain out from between the harder rings. Otherwise warm water, mild soap and a soft brush worked along the grain.
Resin wicker. Hose the weave down, then work mild soap and lukewarm water into it with a soft brush and rinse. Grit trapped between strands is what wears a weave out, not weather.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it too long for a loveseat?
At 60 inches against the loveseat's 63 it lines up almost exactly, which looks deliberate. If the group is a single club chair and nothing else, the 23.5 inch square end table is the better proportion.
How high does it sit against the seating?
16.25 inches, one inch above the 15.25 inch seat height shared by the Tulle club chair, loveseat and sofa. Reaching a cup does not mean leaning down out of the chair.
Teak or HPL?
Teak if you want the surface to weather with the rest of the garden and do not mind sealing it to keep the color. HPL if it lives under a tree or takes drinks every day. The HPL version is 9.5 pounds heavier.
Can you put feet on it?
The top is solid teak and the base is set well inside it, so it takes the load. Teak marks less readily than a softwood, and any scuff sands out along the grain.
Does it need assembly?
Top and base ship in two boxes and are joined on site. There is no frame to build. The 62 inch top carton is easier with a second pair of hands, but the job itself is short.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes. Teak needs no treatment to survive and the woven resin base does not rot or mildew. A cover keeps the top cleaner over winter but is not needed to protect it.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service, two boxes at 56 pounds total. The 62 inch top carton is well past parcel limits, so the carrier arranges a window with you.
