Tulle 48" Round Dining Table
A 48 inch solid teak top on a woven resin wicker pedestal, at a dining height of 28.75 inches. The base is 25.25 inches across, which is what lets four chairs sit at it without anyone straddling a leg.
- A round top with no legs to work around. The 25.25 inch woven pedestal sits well inside the 48 inch top, so chairs pull in from any point on the circle.
- Solid teak, left unfinished. It will oxidize to a soft silver gray over roughly a season outdoors unless you seal it, and that change is cosmetic only.
- Teak above, weave below. The two materials that define the Tulle collection, in one piece. It reads correctly against both the woven dining chairs and the lounge group.
- 28.75 inches high. A hair under standard dining height, which pairs with the Tulle dining chair's 20 inch seat for just under nine inches of clearance.

Materials and Construction
Teak. Solid teak, sustainably sourced. Teak works outdoors because of what is already in the wood: a high natural oil content that resists water, insects and rot with no coating on top of it. It is supplied unfinished and oxidizes to a soft silver gray over roughly a season if it is left alone.
Weave. All weather resin wicker, hand woven over the frame. The strand is solid synthetic fiber colored the whole way through rather than surface dyed, so a scuff does not expose a pale core and the weave does not absorb water, go brittle in sun or mildew.

Care and Maintenance
Teak. No treatment is required. To hold the honey tone rather than let it silver, apply a teak sealer once a season to a dry surface. Do not use a pressure washer, which tears the soft grain out from between the harder rings. Otherwise warm water, mild soap and a soft brush worked along the grain.
Resin wicker. Hose the weave down, then work mild soap and lukewarm water into it with a soft brush and rinse. Grit trapped between strands is what wears a weave out, not weather.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many chairs fit around it?
Four Tulle dining chairs comfortably. Each is 24 inches across the arms, and the 25.25 inch pedestal leaves the full circumference free, so nobody has to sit around a leg. Six is possible but tight.
Does it take an umbrella?
No. This top has no umbrella hole. The Tulle tables drilled for a 2 inch pole are the 45 inch square and the 78 inch rectangle, both in solid teak.
Does it need assembly?
Yes, but only in the sense that the top and the base ship in separate boxes and are joined on site. There is no frame to build. Two people and a few minutes is the whole job.
Will the teak go gray?
Over roughly one season outdoors, yes, unless you seal it. The silver gray is the oxidized surface layer and it does not weaken the wood. A teak sealer applied once a year holds the original honey tone.
What is the difference between this and the HPL version?
The top. This one is solid teak at 49.75 pounds; the HPL version is a high pressure laminate top at 60.25 pounds in four decors. The base, the height and the 48 inch diameter are identical.
Can the top stay outside all winter?
Yes. Teak is used on boat decks for the same reason it works here. The woven base is resin and does not rot. Neither part needs to come in, although a cover keeps the top cleaner.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service, two boxes on a pallet at 60 pounds total. The driver brings it to the curb; moving it through a gate or onto a deck is not part of the service.
