Tulle 45in Square Dining Table
A 45 inch square dining table in solid teak, drilled for a 2 inch umbrella pole and supplied with the plug. Unlike the round and oval Tulle tables it carries no woven base: this one is teak from the top to the floor.
- Drilled for an umbrella. A 2" (50mm) hole through the center with a teak plug supplied, so the table works with or without shade and looks finished either way.
- All teak, no weave. The 45 inch square and the 78 inch rectangle are the two Tulle tables built entirely in solid teak. There is no resin wicker on this piece.
- A true 30 inch dining height. Full standard height, which is an inch and a quarter taller than the Tulle round tables and suits the collection's 20 inch dining chair.
- Square, so four sides seat evenly. 45 inches on each side gives every seat the same run of table, which a round top of the same area does not.

Materials and Construction
Teak. Solid teak, sustainably sourced. Teak works outdoors because of what is already in the wood: a high natural oil content that resists water, insects and rot with no coating on top of it. It is supplied unfinished and oxidizes to a soft silver gray over roughly a season if it is left alone.

Care and Maintenance
Teak. No treatment is required. To hold the honey tone rather than let it silver, apply a teak sealer once a season to a dry surface. Do not use a pressure washer, which tears the soft grain out from between the harder rings. Otherwise warm water, mild soap and a soft brush worked along the grain.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

How many people does it seat?
Four comfortably, one to a side, with 45 inches of run on each edge. Squeezing a fifth in at a corner works for a drink but not for a meal, because the umbrella hole sits dead center.
What size umbrella pole does it take?
A 2 inch, or 50 millimeter, pole. That is the common market umbrella size. The teak plug supplied fills the hole flush when you are not running an umbrella.
Does it have a woven base like the other Tulle tables?
No. The 45 inch square is one of the two Tulle tables built entirely in solid teak, along with the 78 inch rectangle. The round and oval tables are the ones on woven resin wicker pedestals.
Will the teak go gray?
Over roughly one season outdoors, unless you seal it. The silver gray is oxidation of the surface layer, not decay, and a teak sealer applied once a year keeps the honey color instead.
How does it compare to the 78 inch rectangle?
Same 30 inch height, same 2 inch umbrella hole, same all teak build. The rectangle is 78 by 45 inches and 103 pounds against this table's 45 inch square and 58.5 pounds, so it seats six to eight.
Does it need assembly?
It ships in a single flat carton at 49 by 49 by 5 inches. Expect to fit the legs to the top on arrival. No specialist tools are needed.
