Tulle Dining Chair
A woven dining chair with arms, built around a 20 inch seat and a thin 3.5 inch pad. It is the tallest seat in the Tulle collection by three quarters of an inch, which is deliberate: it puts people up at the table rather than back in the chair.
- A 20 inch seat height. Taller than most outdoor dining chairs, which suits Tulle's 28.75 and 30 inch tables and leaves nine to ten inches of thigh clearance.
- Hand woven resin wicker, not a wicker look. The strand is colored through, so the weave takes scuffs and sun without showing a pale core.
- A 3.5 inch seat pad, 2 pounds. Deep enough for a long meal and light enough to lift off with one hand when the weather turns.
- Three grades, one cushion. Grade 2A arrives in Bliss Linen. Grade A and Grade B are the same cushion in a wider Sunbrella range.

The Tulle Dining Chair is the armed dining seat in Oxford Garden's Tulle collection. The whole chair is hand woven in all weather resin wicker and carries a 3.5 inch Sunbrella seat pad, and at 18 pounds one person can rearrange a table of six without help.

Cushion and Fabric Options
Oxford Garden prices Tulle cushions by fabric grade. The cushion itself does not change between grades. Foam, cover construction and finished dimensions are identical on all three; what changes is which Sunbrella fabric book you are choosing from, and that is what moves the price.

Materials and Construction
Weave. All weather resin wicker, hand woven by hand over the frame. The strand is solid synthetic fibre colored the whole way through rather than surface dyed, so a scuff does not expose a pale core and the weave does not absorb water, go brittle in sun or mildew.
Cushions. Sunbrella solution dyed acrylic. The color goes into the fibre before it is spun rather than being printed onto finished cloth, which is why these fabrics hold color in direct sun far longer than a conventional outdoor print.

How the Fabric Grades Work
Grade 2A is the settled end of the ladder. Oxford Garden stocks Bliss Linen for Tulle, so a Grade 2A order is a fabric that is already decided. Grade A and Grade B open progressively wider Sunbrella ranges and are cut to order in whichever pattern you pick.

Weave Colors
Oxford Garden weaves Tulle in Shadow (weave code W.O) and Flax (W.F), the two colorways held for this collection, and in Sand (W.D) from the general Oxford Garden weave range. All three carry the same price, so the choice is purely visual.

This piece ships by LTL freight, not by parcel carrier, at 29 lb.

Care and Maintenance
Cushions. Brush off loose dirt, sponge with mild soap and lukewarm water, rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not machine dry. Bring them in or cover the piece when it is not in use for long stretches.
Resin wicker. Hose the weave down, then work mild soap and lukewarm water into it with a soft brush and rinse. Grit trapped between strands is what wears a weave out, not weather.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit under a 30 inch table?
Comfortably. At a 20 inch seat height you have ten inches of clearance under a 30 inch top and just under nine under Tulle's 28.75 inch round table. Both are within the range people find easy to sit at for a whole meal.
How many fit around the 48 inch round table?
Four with room to push back. The chair is 24 inches across the arms and the 48 inch round has a 25.25 inch base, so four chairs clear the pedestal easily. Six is possible but tight at the arms.
What is the difference between the grades?
They are fabric price tiers, not different cushions. Foam, cover construction and finished dimensions are identical across all three. Grade 2A is Bliss Linen, which Oxford Garden stocks for Tulle. Grade A and Grade B open wider Sunbrella ranges and are cut to order.
Which weave colors can I have?
Shadow and Flax are the two weaves Oxford Garden holds for Tulle, and Sand is available from the general range. All three cost the same. Tell us which one you want and we confirm it before the order goes in.
Does the cushion stay on in wind?
The pad sits inside the woven seat rather than on top of a flat plank, so it is contained on all four sides. In real weather it stays put. In a storm, take it inside like any outdoor cushion.
Can I leave the chair outside all year?
Yes. Resin wicker does not rot, swell or mildew and the weave is colored through. The cushion lasts considerably longer if you store it dry or cover the chairs when nobody is using them for weeks.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. The carton is 39 by 37 by 30 inches, which is past what UPS and FedEx accept, so the carrier calls to arrange a delivery window.
