Travira Collection
Travira Sling Armchair
A dining armchair that weighs eight pounds. The seat and back are one panel of composite sling stretched over a powder coated aluminum frame, so there is no cushion to store and nothing to dry out after a storm. Oxford Garden ships it two or four at a time.
- Eight pounds. One hand moves it. That is a full size dining armchair with a 17 inch seat, not a folding chair, and the weight comes off the frame rather than out of the structure.
- Seventeen sling colors. Black through Fog, and you pick the one you want when you order.
- Tekwood arm caps, your choice. Natural or Vintage. The caps are the only wood look part of the chair and the part your forearm actually rests on.
- Nothing to put away. Sling drains and dries on its own. Rain is a rinse.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Sling. Composite sling, stretched over the frame as a single panel. There is no cushion to store, no cover to buy and nothing to bring in when it rains. Oxford Garden lists seventeen sling colors for Travira.
Frame finish. Flint powder coat. Oxford Garden also photographs Travira in Chalk and Carbon.
Arm caps. Tekwood, Natural or Vintage. The caps are the only wood look part of the piece and they are what your forearm rests on, which is why they are a separate choice rather than a finish detail.

Frame Finish
Travira is powder coated marine grade aluminum. The coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints and around the fastener heads where outdoor furniture usually gives up first.
| Finish | Note |
|---|---|
| Flint | The finish on every line of this listing. |
| Chalk | Oxford Garden photographs Travira pieces in Chalk. |
| Carbon | Oxford Garden photographs Travira pieces in Carbon. |
This listing is the Flint finish. If you want Chalk or Carbon instead, talk to us before you order and we will confirm it first. Call 631 678-6506 or email customerservice@aquaterrabackyard.com.

Care and Maintenance
Sling. Hose it down and let it dry. Sling fabric drains and dries on its own and does not need to be brought inside. For stubborn marks, mild soap and a soft brush.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can I not buy just one?
Oxford Garden cartons this chair as a pair or as a set of four. Two ship at 27 lb in one carton, four at 47 lb. A single chair is not an order the factory accepts.
What table height does a 17 inch seat suit?
It leaves 12.5 inches of clearance under a 29.5 inch Travira bistro or dining top, which is normal dining clearance. Any table with roughly 24 to 25 inches of open space under the apron works the same way.
Is there a cushion?
No, and it does not want one. The sling panel carries your weight across the frame instead of a foam pad sitting on slats. That is the whole point of a sling chair: nothing to store, nothing to soak.
How do I clean the sling?
Hose it and let it dry. Composite sling drains through itself, so it does not hold water and does not need to come inside. For a mark that will not rinse off, mild soap and a soft brush, then rinse again.
What frame color is this?
Flint. Oxford Garden also photographs Travira in Chalk and Carbon. Ask us before you order if you want one of those instead.
Can it live outside all year?
Yes. Marine grade aluminum does not rust, so the frame is not depending on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. Wash it with mild soap and water when it looks dirty and leave it where it is.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. You will be called to arrange a delivery window. The driver brings it to the curb; carrying it through a gate or onto a deck is not part of the service, so have a second pair of hands ready.
What else sits at this height in Travira?
The Travira Side Chair at 17 inches and the Sling Side Chair at 17.25 inches are the armless versions, and the 4 foot Stacking Bench sits at 17.25 inches. Mixing them around one table keeps everyone level.
