Travira Collection
Travira Side Chair
The armless slatted dining chair in Travira. Horizontal Tekwood boards on a powder coated aluminum frame, 18.25 inches across the seat, 11 lb. It is the chair you buy six or eight of. Ordered two or four at a time.
- Armless, so it pulls in. 18.25 inches wide against 22 for the armchair, which is the difference between six seats and eight around a long table.
- Tekwood boards. Natural or Vintage, your choice. No oiling, no sealing, no annual maintenance window.
- Eleven pounds. Light enough to restack a terrace single handed at the end of an evening.
- A 17 inch seat. Identical to the Travira Armchair, so armchairs at the ends and side chairs down the sides sit at one level.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Slats. Tekwood, in Natural or Vintage. Tekwood is Oxford Garden's wood look slat material and it takes no oil, no sealer and no annual coat.
Frame finish. Flint powder coat. Oxford Garden also photographs Travira in Chalk and Carbon.
What Is Included
- One Travira Side Chair in the Tekwood colorway selected
This listing is for one chair. Oxford Garden takes the order in multiples of two or four.
Frame Finish
Travira is powder coated marine grade aluminum. The coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints and around the fastener heads where outdoor furniture usually gives up first.
| Finish | Note |
|---|---|
| Flint | The finish on every line of this listing. |
| Chalk | Oxford Garden photographs Travira pieces in Chalk. |
| Carbon | Oxford Garden photographs Travira pieces in Carbon. |
This listing is the Flint finish. If you want Chalk or Carbon instead, talk to us before you order and we will confirm it first. Call 631 678-6506 or email customerservice@aquaterrabackyard.com.

Care and Maintenance
Tekwood. Rinse it and wipe it with mild soap and water. It is not wood, so there is nothing to oil, sand or seal, and nothing that will split along a grain line.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can I not buy just one?
Oxford Garden fills this chair in multiples of two or four. Two ship in a 31 lb carton, four in a 55 lb carton.
How many go around a table?
Budget about 24 inches of table edge per seat. That is four around a 32 inch round top, six along a 63 inch rectangle and eight or ten along a 103 inch one, depending on how you use the ends.
Side chair or armchair?
The side chair is 18.25 inches wide and 11 lb; the armchair is 22 inches wide and 13 lb. Both have a 17 inch seat. The usual arrangement is armchairs at the two ends and side chairs down the long sides.
Does it need a cushion?
No. It is sold as a bare chair and is complete that way. The Tekwood slats are the seat and back.
What frame color is this?
Flint. Oxford Garden also photographs Travira in Chalk and Carbon. Ask us before you order if you want one of those instead.
Can it live outside all year?
Yes. Marine grade aluminum does not rust, so the frame is not depending on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. Wash it with mild soap and water when it looks dirty and leave it where it is.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. You will be called to arrange a delivery window. The driver brings it to the curb; carrying it through a gate or onto a deck is not part of the service, so have a second pair of hands ready.
Will it sit level with the sling chairs?
Close. The slatted Side Chair is 17 inches to the seat, the Sling Side Chair 17.25 inches. A quarter inch is not something you feel across a table.
