Travira Bar Chair
The slatted bar stool in Travira: Tekwood boards across the seat and back on a 48 inch aluminum frame, with the seat at 32 inches. It is the bar height partner to the Travira Armchair and Side Chair and shares their material and finish exactly.
- A 32 inch seat under a 41.5 inch top. 9.5 inches of clearance, the relationship bar seating is built around. It is not a counter stool.
- Tekwood boards, two colorways. Natural or Vintage. The boards do not need oiling or sealing and they do not split along a grain line, because there is no grain.
- Fourteen pounds. Heavier than the sling version by five and a half pounds, which is what you want on a stool that gets pushed against a rail.
- Matches the dining chairs. The same two Tekwood colorways and the same Flint frame as the Travira Armchair and Side Chair, so a bar and a dining table in one yard read as one set.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Slats. Tekwood, in Natural or Vintage. Tekwood is Oxford Garden's wood look slat material and it takes no oil, no sealer and no annual coat.
Frame finish. Flint powder coat. Oxford Garden also photographs Travira in Chalk and Carbon.

Frame Finish
Travira is powder coated marine grade aluminum. The coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints and around the fastener heads where outdoor furniture usually gives up first.

Care and Maintenance
Tekwood. Rinse it and wipe it with mild soap and water. It is not wood, so there is nothing to oil, sand or seal, and nothing that will split along a grain line.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

What table height is this for?
Bar height, 40 to 42 inches. The Travira bar tables are 41.5 inches, which leaves 9.5 inches between the seat and the underside of the top. At a 36 inch counter it sits too high.
Bar or counter?
Bar. Oxford Garden's counter version is the Travira Counter Chair, 23 inch seat and 39.5 inches overall. The two look nearly identical in a photograph, so go by the seat height.
Natural or Vintage?
The two Tekwood colorways. The frame, the dimensions and the weight are identical; only the slat color differs.
Can I mix it with the sling bar chair?
Yes. Both are 48 inches tall with a 32 inch seat and an 18.5 inch width on the same Flint frame. The difference is a slatted seat at 14 lb against a sling seat at 8.5 lb.
What frame color is this?
Flint. Oxford Garden also photographs Travira in Chalk and Carbon. Ask us before you order if you want one of those instead.
Can it live outside all year?
Yes. Marine grade aluminum does not rust, so the frame is not depending on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. Wash it with mild soap and water when it looks dirty and leave it where it is.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. You will be called to arrange a delivery window. The driver brings it to the curb; carrying it through a gate or onto a deck is not part of the service, so have a second pair of hands ready.
Does it need a cushion?
No. It is sold complete as a bare stool, and the Tekwood boards are the seat.
