Travira Collection
Travira 4' Backless Bench
Four feet of Tekwood on an aluminum frame with nothing above the seat. An 18 inch backless bench slides fully under a table when it is not in use, which is the reason to choose it over the backed version in a space that has to stay clear.
- It disappears under the table. 18 inches tall overall and 19 inches deep, so it pushes right in under a 29.5 inch top rather than parking its back against the edge.
- Forty eight inches of seat. Two adults with room to spare, and the longest uninterrupted seat in the Travira program at this height.
- Twenty one pounds. The lightest bench Oxford Garden lists for Travira. One person carries it.
- Works away from the table too. At 18 inches it doubles as a low surface along a wall or at the foot of a lounger.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Slats. Tekwood, in Natural or Vintage. Tekwood is Oxford Garden's wood look slat material and it takes no oil, no sealer and no annual coat.
Frame finish. Flint powder coat. Oxford Garden also photographs Travira in Chalk and Carbon.
What Is Included
- One Travira 4 foot Backless Bench in the Tekwood colorway selected
Frame Finish
Travira is powder coated marine grade aluminum. The coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the joints and around the fastener heads where outdoor furniture usually gives up first.
| Finish | Note |
|---|---|
| Flint | The finish on every line of this listing. |
| Chalk | Oxford Garden photographs Travira pieces in Chalk. |
| Carbon | Oxford Garden photographs Travira pieces in Carbon. |

Care and Maintenance
Tekwood. Rinse it and wipe it with mild soap and water. It is not wood, so there is nothing to oil, sand or seal, and nothing that will split along a grain line.
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
Off season. The frame can stay outside all year.

Frequently Asked Questions
The carton is listed as 5 inches high. Is the bench flat packed?
Oxford Garden lists a 50 by 23 by 5 inch carton against an 18 inch high bench, so the legs cannot be standing in that box. Expect the frame to ship knocked down with fasteners rather than fully built. If that matters to you, ask us before you order and we will confirm the packing with Oxford Garden first.
Backed or backless?
The backless bench is 18 inches tall and tucks completely under a table. The Travira 4 foot Stacking Bench is 33.5 inches with a back and a 17.25 inch seat, which is more comfortable for a long meal but always visible.
How many people does it seat?
Two adults across 48 inches with room to spare. Three is possible but nobody will be settled. Without a back, most people sit on it for a course, not for an evening.
Is it the same height as the dining chairs?
An inch taller. The bench seat is 18 inches, the Travira Side Chair and Armchair sit at 17. Under a 29.5 inch top that still leaves 11.5 inches of clearance.
What frame color is this?
Flint. Oxford Garden also photographs Travira in Chalk and Carbon. Ask us before you order if you want one of those instead.
Can it live outside all year?
Yes. Marine grade aluminum does not rust, so the frame is not depending on the coating staying perfect to survive the winter. Wash it with mild soap and water when it looks dirty and leave it where it is.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. You will be called to arrange a delivery window. The driver brings it to the curb; carrying it through a gate or onto a deck is not part of the service, so have a second pair of hands ready.
Does it need a cushion?
No. It is sold complete and the Tekwood boards are the seat.
