Travira 36" Cafe Bar Table
The bar height version of the Travira cafe table: the same 36.5 inch square top, raised to 41.5 inches. It stands four people up around an umbrella, and it pairs with the Travira bar chair rather than the dining chairs.
- Bar height, 41.5 inches. Not counter height. It is built for a 30 inch seat bar chair, which is what the Travira bar chair is.
- Eight tops across three materials. Four high pressure laminate finishes, two Lite-Core and two Tekwood, over the same Flint powder coated aluminum base.
- Takes a market umbrella. A 2 inch, 50 mm hole with a plug, standard on the Lite-Core and Tekwood tops. Standing height plus shade is the whole point of this table.
- A 36.5 inch square footprint. The same plan area as the dining height cafe table, so the two can sit in the same space on a terrace.

The Travira cafe bar table takes the 36.5 inch square cafe top to 41.5 inches, standing height. It is the piece that turns a corner of a terrace into somewhere people gather without sitting down, and it still takes an umbrella.

Table Top Options
Travira tables are built on one powder coated aluminum base and offered with more than one top material. The base, the footprint and the table height do not change between them. What changes is the top, and the top is what changes the look and the weight.

Materials and Construction
Frame. Marine grade aluminum, powder coated. Aluminum does not rust, so the frame does not depend on a coating staying perfect to survive. The powder coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it resists chipping at the joints where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Frame finish. Flint, a gray powder coat.
HPL tops. High pressure laminate. The sheet is non porous, so spilled wine and sunscreen sit on the surface rather than soaking in, and it is never sealed or oiled.
Tekwood tops. Oxford Garden's wood grain composite, offered in Natural and Vintage. It reads as timber across the table but takes no annual treatment and does not silver the way real teak does.
Lite-Core tops. A cast core top offered on Travira only, in Ash and Charcoal. It is by a wide margin the heaviest of the three: on the Travira cafe tables a Lite-Core top carton runs 68 lb against 30 lb for Tekwood.

Care and Maintenance
Powder coated aluminum. Wash with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull the finish. Touch up any deep scratch promptly so salt and grit have nothing to work at.
HPL and Lite-Core tops. Non porous. Wipe down with mild soap and water. No sealer, no oil, no wax.
Tekwood tops. Same routine. Tekwood is a composite, so it does not need the annual oiling a natural wood top would, and it does not weather to gray.
Off season. The table can stay outside all year.

What is the difference between the top materials?
They are different tops on an identical base. HPL is a high pressure laminate. Tekwood is a wood grain composite. Lite-Core is offered on Travira only. The footprint, the height and the frame do not change; the top sets the look and most of the weight.
What color is the frame?
Flint, a soft gray powder coat over marine grade aluminum. The coat is baked on rather than sprayed, which is why it holds at the welds and corners where outdoor furniture usually fails first.
Does it need assembly?
Yes. It arrives in 2 cartons with the top packed separately from the base, and the two bolt together on site. Plan on two people. The top carton is the heavy one and it is awkward rather than difficult.
Can it stay outside all year?
Yes. Powder coated aluminum does not rust, and none of the three top materials needs sealing, oiling or waxing. Wash it with mild soap and water. Nothing has to come indoors at the end of the season.
How is it delivered?
By LTL freight to the curb with lift gate service. You will be contacted to arrange a delivery window. The driver brings it to the curb only, so arrange help for moving it through a gate or onto a deck.
Will the Travira dining chairs work at this table?
No. The top sits at 41.5 inches, which is bar height. It needs a bar chair with roughly a 30 inch seat, which is what the Travira bar chair is. A dining chair leaves you about a foot short.
Is this the same table as the cafe bistro table?
Same top, different base. The cafe bistro table is 29.5 inches high. This one is 41.5 inches. The 36.5 inch square footprint is identical.
